More than 110 hours. 98 percent complete. My closet ever to 100%ing a game. I remember being so proud of that achievement.
I am keeping the number because it is honest.
Elden Ring is an enormous world built around uncertainty, repetition, failure, pattern recognition, and the gradual acquisition of competence. Progress is rarely announced with reassurance. A path opens because I kept looking, learned the rhythm, returned better prepared, or accepted that the direct approach was not working.
That structure is unusually satisfying for a mind that struggles with continuity. The game makes invisible learning visible. A boss that once seemed impossible becomes readable. A landscape that felt incoherent develops landmarks. Failure is not evidence of incapacity; it is information carried into the next attempt.
The hours matter because sustained attention does not always come easily or land where I want it. Hyperfocus can consume entire days and leave ordinary responsibilities untouched. The distinction between devotion and compulsion is not always clean. Still, completing nearly all of a world this large demonstrates patience, memory, and persistence that I am quick to deny possessing elsewhere.
I do not need to turn the game into a lesson about life for it to belong here. The record can remain literal.
I spent more than a hundred hours in the Lands Between. I learned its rules. I returned after failure. I kept going.
That happened. The number stays. I had fun.
